Sure, we can pull space junk out of orbit with lasers or use it to cobble together new satellites, but if engineers at space firm Astrium UK have their way, space trash could be disposed of with the help of harpoons.

I think they should come up with a way to send the garbage that is floating around in the oceans and piled up in the landfills out the the atmosphere to be burned up. That would be a worthwhile project.
