I'll have to give that application they have listed a shot. I'd love to hear some of my music in it's native FLAC format instead of having to compress the file to something "iOS appropriate".

Yes, I gave up on that a long time ago.

I now use the Logitech Squeezebox Touch and its performance is amazing for the price.

I love the Cambridge Audio Sonata. Listening to true 24 bit audio is special.

Yup!

Except instead of interpolating the extra eight bits, FLAC provides the actual data for the DAC.

It can get addictive. Most of them are soundboard recordings, and there are lots of great bands out there.
