Can You Really 3D Print a Snowboard?

Using traditional fabrication techniques the folks at Signal Snowboards have made decks from all kinds of crazy materials, including glass. But this month they're trying out a radically different fabrication technique to see if you really can make a usable snowboard with a 3D printer.

The answer is NO. One cannot 3D print a snowboard. One can 3D print parts for a snowboard. The mechanical strength comes from the cured resin and steel rods used to make the final product. With these stiffeners allowed in the assembly almost anything could be made into a snowboard.
