(For developing "workers," see Barcoded Ants) Seriously, this is another area of concern regarding privacy -- or lack thereof. People are so used to using digital communications that they seldom stop to think it has made them "definable" in a way they don't think about -- profiling. Workplace communications are "semi-public." The moral... "typer" (thumber) beware. (Hm-m-m? "Thumbing a ride" may have a whole new meaning in the digital age.)

Calling the analysis "work-force science" shows how watered-down we have made the idea of science. Previously, this was known as sociology. (I think this is giving me Acid Reflux Disease.) Sheesh!

Ah but the upside to social media is that it also quickly rats out bad management and or questionable business practices.

Sure you can fire me for airing the fact that you are really a lazy hot headed half wit of a manger but really all that does is make you look even worse in the social media view!

Also by having done so just by human nature I have now made everyone you hire or try to hire after that who has read the social media accounts of your actions suspicious of you from that day forth!

From there take in the issue that if more than just one person has made such comments you yourself are now being statistically weighted as to be a weak employee.
