Now this is dedication: four researchers at the Department of Food Science at Leeds University, UK, spent more than 1,000 hours (!) testing 700 variations of bacon butty (that's bacon sandwich to us Yanks) to find the perfect one. Then, they created a mathematical formula on how to create the perfect bacon sandwich. Hm…. bacon research….

Any GOOD short order cook could beat the pants off these 'scientific' perfectionists, hands down. He would have it cooked and plated by the time they had the formula laid out, ingredients selected etc.

One man's or four mens' "Perfect Sandwich" may not be anyone elses.

As the farmer said when he kissed the cow, "Everyman to his own taste!"
