After Hurricane Sandy decimated the subway system last year, officials pledged to install new devices to help halt the rising tides including flood gates and, more intriguingly, a device called a "tunnel plug.

I wonder if the so-called "Tunnel Plugs" can also be used as an effective solution to the present immigration problems? Since a lot of modern tunnels were found in California.. To permanently seal those sophisticated tunnels used by smugglers smuggling humans and drugs from Mexico?

I was wondering if they could be used at the U.S. Treasury. But unfortunately, I don't think they can make them big enough to contain the hot air escaping Washington D.C.

I wonder if they (inflatables) could be used as flood barriers and/or temporary seawalls. They'd need to be well-anchored and strong.
