So, what the article fails to actually state is that this "non-liquid" water is probably embedded in the minerals at depth, and is totally inaccessible to surface dwellers.

Nice to know, but not worth a thing. This would be akin to one guy saying Hey, we need a good source of hydrogen for future econmic growth. Do you know where I can get some? Then the other guy looks up at the sun and says, yeah! Right there!

How about gold...? Any idea where I can find oceans of gold? How about the rest of those diamonds?

Or theoretical extrasolar planets made of pure diamond. It's yours if you can get it home.

The oceans of the world contain far more gold than the total of what we have mined throughout history. That is probably as close to oceans of gold as you will get.
