Total nutter! The world could do with a few more characters like him.

It may seem funny, but guys like these we need more...

There was a great little Australian made movie a few years back, which revolved around a similiar scenario. A guy straps a chair to a heap of balloons and floats off to the countryside. Can't remember what it was called. Maybe something like "Danny Deckchair?"

Considering the controls and restrictions that apply worldwide since 9-11 for regular airline flights, I would take this guy's idea a bit more seriously; as many of us may soon start flying this way!

Mythbusters tried this one once in an aircraft hanger. They got some poor little kiddy and strapped her to balloons etc. They eventually got her rising off the ground , but I think mom and dad didn't want to take it much further.
