I can't believe another year is drawing to a close. So many things happened in 2014 that I wanted
to take a moment to highlight them before we move on to 2015.

Comment
We hit our one
millionth comment back in February. CR4 wouldn't be the same without all
who participate, and this was an incredible milestone that roughly coincided
with our 10th birthday.
So, what were the hot topics to generate that much
discussion? Let's take a look. (Note that these threads were chosen based on
number of comments or views, not the quality of the discussion!)

Engineering360
Launched
GlobalSpec, CR4, and more merged together to create a great
new site called Engineering360. It's
full of news, analysis, references, supplier catalogs, and more. Editor David
Wagman is going to be sharing some insights with you via the new Editor's Desk blog.
Posting Timeout Error
Resolved
Somewhere along the way we resolved the posting timeout
error that was so frustrating to many people. There's little worse than typing
a long reply only to have it disappear before your eyes. I felt the pain on
this one, too!
Plans for 2015
There are obviously more improvements to be made to CR4.
Here are a few on my agenda for 2015:
- Fix the text editor so that it's fully
functional across widely used browsers. (I know a lot of you are unable to post
pictures, and this is included here.)
- Improve the logon process so that you'll be able
to comment on Engineering360 posts with your CR4 identity. This will eliminate
the need to register for a Livefyre account.
- Some of your suggestions on bugs to fix and new features you'd like to see.
So, what do you think? Share your thoughts on 2014 and what
you'd like to see in 2015.
