Robots Helping Robots

Imagine what industry might look like if robots could cooperate with each other spontaneously using body language as their guide. In a manner similar to human communication, a robot that needs assistance waves and points to get the attention of another robot. That robot stops what it is doing and arrives to lend a hand. This piece from Electronics360describes an example where two off-the-shelf robots cooperate to carry an object

It seems there would be more efficient robot to robot communication, but I suppose that if they were already programmed to recognize human gestures ...
