Discovery Channel Uses Chromatography to Find Authentic Tequilas

The Discover Channel website reports that in response to the many counterfeit tequilas being produced today, researchers are using ion and gas chromatography to analyze tequila samples and compare them to the impure mixed "tequila" types. They found the authentic drink, which is regulated by strict standards in Mexico, has noticeably higher levels of certain chemicals, including methanol, 2-methyl-1-butanol, and 2-phenylethanol.

Can't Wait! Nothing worse than Fake Tequila!!

Wonder if I can get an analyzer for home use?
