Transparent to visible light, a new film — when applied to glass windows — blocks Wi-Fi, cell phone, and other wireless transmissions. Some government buildings already use it to protect against hackers. A second feature mitigates its high cost: the film is also blast proof. Scientific American reports...

Similar stuff is being added to the windows of trains these days to provide some blessed relief from the plonkers who can't exist without using their phones and disturbing the peace of others. Wonderful!
