Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

In the seminal film, “Pulp Fiction,” the question is asked of us: Are you an Elvis man or a Beatles man?

That might seem like no big deal, but the answer really does define your movement across and your time on this big blue marble. We’d take a slightly different approach to that question: Are you General Lee or are you the Knight Industries Two Thousand? The General or K.I.T.T.?

And we’ll take it a step further: Who would actually stick the landing? And then survive to chase varmints and get the girl another day?

So, are you a good ol' boy or a knight rider?

For jumping I think I would go with an off road truck with proper suspension....

Having spent many years in this industry as a mechanic i will say that none of these vehicles like this activity and most are

nothing but scrap upon landing.
