Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

Video: 9 Most-Forgotten Muscle Cars?

Posted May 23, 2019 9:00 AM by dstrohl

We love Top-10 lists. Even Forgotten-9 lists. Which brings us to this week’s video: Are these the nine most-forgotten muscle cars? We’ll admit, there’s at least one oddball in there that we may not even consider an actual muscle car, but what about the others? And, judging by the locations in some of these clips, there might be more of an “overseas” opinion of American Muscle. And are the statements made all accurate and factual? What say ye?

One thing we do know: We love all the cars. But are they all Muscle? And are they all Forgotten?

Watch the video on Hemmings.

Well, I for one, still fondly remember the 1963 Studebaker Avanti...wanted one back then (but couldn't afford) and would gladly own one today (but still can't afford).

The 'round' headlamp openings indicate a 1963 model, so, "Thanks," but I'm not into DIY restoration...too many "missing" original parts does NOT spell fun or cheap.

Every Duesenberg should be considered a muscle car. IMHO

Or did you forget about them?
