As we mercifully close out 2020, we learned a few things about ourselves; not the least of which was that we didn't completely forget that we could still DIY the hell out of some things. If you're reading this, you probably came to your own version of that realization, too.
And one of the things we dig is this homemade ultrasonic parts washer! If you're anything like us, you've collected metric tonnage of vintage speed parts, go-fast goodies, junkyard scores you might just need someday, and piles of stuff that you haven't touched in a month of Fast 'N Furious releases, but that you know you'll want as soon as you get rid of.
You've probably got the DA sander in one corner of the garage and a jug of parts cleaner in the other. And somewhere in between, there's probably some sort of appropriate container and a roll of velcro. And we know you've got a little spool of wire or butcher's string or dead extension cord laying around, too.
Have any of you tried this homebrew hack? Got another tried-n-true trick for washing parts? Or, let us know if this works, once you've tried it. Tell you one thing: we see a decent garage sale in our future if we can get some of this stuff cleaned up around here...
