I think it is a great idea especially when you think you have a product that could greatly benefit the oil pump industry.The best well valves are made of hard metal ,cobalt, that is heavy , difficult to machine and expansive. I know we used to make them. Pump action raises the heavy ball and let it drop at the return stroke. Impurity's in the oil reduce the sealing capacity and the valve needs to be replaced. A valve needing less force to open will increase the volume of oil to be raised and in my estimation would last longer. I base this with my experience with the first vibration tumbler. The first metal tubs didn't last long than cobalt alloy welding was used to line the inside it improved some. Manufacturers use now a rubber base material to line the tub and they last almost forever.

No retooling required to replace an old ring and ball with a new double sealing valve.Materials resisting various compounds in oil (sulphur, chlorides) has to be investigated.

Valve with dimension's off drawing board. Rubber and plastic Mfg. advised me to find out what other chemicals are in the oil to make up a compound that is flexible and resistant to various chemicals. Patent not applied for, product not on the market anywhere . Need funding for development or negotiate sale.
