String Ducky - string theory explained in two minutes

The challenge was to explain string theory in two minutes or less. Sandy Chase of New York produced this video and won the contest at Discover Magazine.

If it was shown on editable video , i could have done better , it took 2.45 min on my old computer to see complete video even though it was advice for faster PC, our CR4 gurus could have done within seconds , it is not ducking as though , it is a challenge

Actually, I thought was interesting from the standpoint that it providfd a basis underestanding for a very complex subject in a short period.

Why do the strings vibrate? Where does the vibrational energy come from? Why do the strings vibrate at different frequencies? What causes them to curl and /or link together? What type of energy (electromagnetic, gravitational, nuclear,etc.) causes these actions?

There are many more questions than answers in this purported precusor to the "theory of everything". I suspect this will go away as did the old theory of "ether".
