Materials for Green Containers

Following the lead of Wal-Mart's "Sustainable Packaging Scorecard" initiative launched last November, the materials industry is coming up with some basic changes in the chemistry of packaging materials. Included is the addition of a half dozen new biopolymers that come from corn or sugar cane, and biodegrade in the right composting environments.

If you look at the globe from space it is mostly blue and white, with shades of brown and very little green. Why do we call it "GREEN". in the first place?

Because healthy plantlife, what most people usually associate first with nature, is predominantly green.
