Metalworking Fluids Keeping Pace

Posted November 21, 2006 12:00 AM

As end-user industries shift toward lighter-weight, non-ferrous metal solutions offering characteristics similar to iron and steel, and with increasing emphasis on environmentally-friendly products, U.S. demand for metalworking fluids is changing. Manufacturers are not only removing chlorinated, phenolic, and tri-azine compounds from their formulations, they are developing new products custom made for technology trends and niche markets such as high-speed machining. Versatility, says a new Frost & Sullivan report, is the key to survival in the increasingly competitive metalworking fluids market.

Try using corosionx as taping fluid in aluminium and SS. It will make the job faster and the taps last longer.

What I'd like to see as a small machine shop owner, is cheaper coolants that work. We have used Rust Lick WS-5050 for about 10 years now and have seen the price double! We are happy with everything about it but the price.
