Transistors Control Nanobots

Posted April 11, 2008 8:28 AM

Researchers have recently developed transistors capable of controlling nanobots by relying on parallel processing rather than serial processing, allowing for an increased number of simultaneous operations. Consisting of duroquinone molecules organized in a wheel-like assembly on a gold substrate, the spherical devices act as logic gates capable of each representing four separate logic states.
