Are You Ready for Photovoltaics?

Posted January 06, 2009 8:26 AM

Sure, generating electricity with sunlight is still expensive, but if the activity at Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is any indication, innovations are coming fast that will make photovoltaics common at many industrial facilities. A recent article notes that UL is having to ramp up its capacities to meet the demand for testing and certification of PV products. Can the PV industry contribute to the US need for both energy and jobs? Has your company considered the use of solar energy? What are the pros and cons at your locations?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Material Handling, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Material Handling today.

Yes I am and in my research on finding a company that builds units that can be ganged together, made in the USA, produce more power with less upfront money has a stock symbol of xsnxe. The film is the thinest in the market place and mounts on a aluminum frame. They are on the verge of opening a new state of the art factory and have huge contracts signed up. Their web site has a map of the country and you can pick out your state and find out how their system compares to there competitions in power production and price.

I believe UL has there hands full and will be testing wind turbines ,methanol fuel cells, photovoltaics and hydrogen generator's etc.

In fact, solar heating system is also a way to save energy and is green. it has less investion than PV industry.

easy assembly, easy manufacture, suit to use in family and public site.

I was told ouir china is main produce country for manufacturing it.

occupy nearly 2/3 yield in the world. I remember I posted some of its photo in the forum.
