Human Consumption Speeding Up Evolutionary Change: Study

Humans are dramatically speeding up evolutionary changes in the plants and animals they hunt and harvest, according to new research. Researchers from Canadian and U.S universities analyzed data from a variety of studies that examined trait changes — like those in antler size or reproductive age — of 29 species of organisms consumed by humans.

Yes look what we have done to wheat in the last 5,000 years.

Or the Dodo in the last 200 years. But compared to a medium asteroid impacting the Earth we are slow at causing change.

Have we made mistakes and had triumphs but the real question is what have we learned from it and how are we applying what we learned?
