Posted February 05, 2009 12:13 PM

From Crave: The gadget blog:

(Credit: Jeon Hwan Ju/Core77) We've seen plenty of printers in our time, but this one is most definitely to our taste. Korean designer Jeon Hwan Ju, likely a beans person, has percolated a potent brew that utilizes coffee or tea dregs as the replacement ink.

This is excellent news. Not only is it economical, it will save me the time by cutting out the step where I have to spill coffee on my papers every morning.

Now if it actually prints on used coffee filters, the greenies will be delighted too.

Brilliant idea this. With this, whenever I need a caffeine fix, all I have to do is to soak all the worthless spam faxes and ludicrous excess documents in hot water. I don't need to run out to the pantry for coffee.

This doesnt work, my friends tried it in college as one of many engineering student projects. It plugs up the little holes (nozzles) over about 5 days of off and on use. They also had to use the typical ink carrier fluid to make it work.

It did work curoulsy well in the Lamay fountain pen.

Or I could simply shove the FAX in my pie-hole spitwad fashion!
