I don't think I could afford/survive the first use.

But it'd be fun while it lasted ...

Well it is certainly a good example of the KISS principle!

But I think the maintenance costs are going to be way to high!

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure that the maintenance costs do not compensate such installation. Married guys know that a 3G-remotely-controlled-internet-monitored system would be more affordable - after a short period of time. And would aboid injuries... AND, of course, it would work for a short period of time ONLY if you use it with a BMW bike, car, maybe a good Mercedes Benz, or maybe you could get longer operation times from a Lamborghini or a Ferrari for example. No chance for us, ordinary guys with regular civil vehicles. The one that told that he had to get one for him just do not know what he's talking about...

.
Wouldn't work for me as Mrs Cat is too short and the garage door too heavy. I don't think she'd agree to a replacement opener.

It opens the door well enough, but there's a fault on the close mechanism; On a rainy day it should pause and ensure a safe departed. A cheery "have a nice day, honey" would make it much better. I drive a Milk Float, so I'm not too fussed.

I should think it would look better without the dust cover. In high heels of course!
