Gadget Charger Harvests Wireless Power

Posted June 09, 2009 8:10 AM

From Technology Review RSS Feeds:

A cell phone that never needs recharging might sound too good to be true, but Nokia claims that it's developing a prototype device that draws enough power from ambient radio waves to keep a cell-phone handset topped up in standby mode.

What next? "A woman of fair countenance and quiet disposition equals 'entertainment". (Ben Franklin).

Recipe: One tablespoon under cooked beans per day, a methane/electricity converter worn on the belt (close to the supply), attendant connections. Toot, buzz, toot, buzz.

GA . I suppose another new development will be the HHO powered car that refuels itself from condensing water vapor from the atmosphere and generates HHO using onboard electrolysis powered by a generator that harnesses ambient radio waves .

Just don't count on this one to recharge itself in an emergency involving a long power outage.
