Posted August 21, 2009 9:06 AM

From msnbc.com: Tech and gadgets:

U.S. telecommunications regulators on Thursday sought public comment on how to define "broadband," a step that could impact how the industry delivers Internet services to consumers. Dear FCC,

"Broadband" refers to a data rate roughly equivilent to or exceeding the amount needed to reproduce with no appreciable delay the sum total of the universe, including the director's cut and pi to the last digit. Times 3.

This is what we want.

Thank you,

The Consumers.

Jeez, can't they Google 'Cumberbund' ?

But seriously, it would hardly be rocket science to make an arbitary, easilly uderstood (by Joe public) definition.*
But hey, that would never do, the Telecoms industry has been built on deliberately abstruse specs.

Aye and follow the ball in one fluid motion...about 5MBps with 25000MB download threshold x 7500MB upload threshold per/mo as a basic level service...
