Yes. The standard USA supply of 120 V 60 Hz matches the given TV specs.

Why does a "thank you"from the OP become off topic???

Apparently by self-selecting the OT check box. The OP is new and may have done this accidentally.

Then, your reply inherited the 5 OT's by default, which could be avoided by unchecking the OT box.

He was distracted by the I Love Lucy re-runs he had found on the TV.

The only complication you may have with this power supply is the line cord between supply and wall outlet may not have the correct plug for our outlets. You could replace the plug to your line cord or replace the line cord assembly itself with a suitable unit.

You might be able to see "something". Try also to find out if it is a multi-standard set.

Like Pal/ Secam/ NTSC.

some problems might be solved with digital TV's.

Good point! The power supply is fine, but we can't be so sure about the signal.

If anyone has a TV with one of the old analog signal formats then there will be no aerial reception without a converter box. I'm not even sure one can still get one of those anywhere. Besides the OP stated that this is a 3D HD set. That is not an analog TV.

I have no idea... Are digital TV standards the same worldwide? I know mos of the international TV we receive by satellite is of significantly lower resolution than the US HD signals. I have been assuming (there's that word again) that they were analog signals converted to some form of digital.

I'm not sure. When I worked in communications many years ago, those three analog signal formats were the television standards that dominated the world. Having incompatible yet similar standards made significant headaches for content providers trying to reach the most amount of eyeballs with acceptable quality images. One of the primary goals of switching to a digital format was to establish a single international set of standards for the baseband image formats. At the time that I left communications the computer industry was rebelling against establishing a fixed standard, for fear of stifling unknown future technologies. At that time the highest quality images proposed were 1080 progressively scanned lines at 120 HZ a frame. A variety of lower quality image formats were supposed to be resolvable, too. No broadcast 3D image standards existed at that time.

I suspect the RF frequency bands were not standardized everywhere for broadcast HD signals. The tuner in this TV may require an external tuner or just the same cable decoder box that most of us already use.

As far as I remember TV is still being transmitted in those formats at the source.

(with exception of (converted - digitized) live internet streaming

I share a euopean one joke (sorry):

We used to call the US system NTSC (Never The Same Color) because of the poor RED definition and color adjstments) The jokes for PAL and SECAM probably exist too.

NTSC however made construction of a very cheap TV possible (far less components needed)

This all however, is becoming history

An A/D conversion takes place in the cable box or satellite (receiver) converter.

However, some communities (resorts- hotels e.g.) have "adapted" the system back to analog to not have to pay put a box near every TV set to have multiple channels.

with areal reception this could pose a problem too.

It was actually: Never Twice the Same Color

The other ones are:

PAL = Pay After Luxury

SECAM = Super Effort Counter the American Method

There must be a switch for different voltage and frequency. Just check. Better read instruction manual properly. If you do not have then check with mfr.

Not necessarily. A lot of electronic devices today come with universal switching power supplies that work correctly anywhere from 90-240VAC, 50/60HZ. Some of them will even work on the same range of DC voltage, so frequency is clearly not an issue with these devices.
