Who wants a ride? Who wants a ride? Who wants a ride?

For now, I don't live in an inner-city (congestion central) where this could ever make sense. I do not like the idea that Google or anyone else could deny service to whomever they please at any time, for failure to comply with ToS, or refusing to "play nice" on social media with the other "children". The adults in the room would prefer something that still has its stones. A Stallion, not a mini-gelding.

I will stick with my 2001 Chevy Silverado PU truck for now, as I have no really heavy hauling to do, and it quickly accelerates when I want to. It also stops when and where I decide to, and I do not have to input a stupid planned route.

I think the day is fast approaching that cars and trucks will tailpipes will be banned in downtown areas, they'll be parked miles away and use trams or Lil robots like these to navigate the city. I don't expect to see them on the 405 though, 25 MPH is far too fast for a freeway that averages 10 MPH on a good day

ROFLMAO!!!! Wow, I can (almost) remember when 10 mph was the instrinsic speed limit in a horse-less carriage. See how far we have come? Why not just ban people that are there hanging around with no particular porpoise (sp intentional) in life?

What happened to computers freeing us from the drudgery of the hum-drum work-a-day world in office cubicles?

For all that actually gets done that matters in the world these days, most of these folks could function just as well at home.

So, suppose you are in one of these things, trying to escape a vicious criminal...that will definitely not outrun a desparate criminal, much less a fat, donut consuming police officer that really wants you bad!
