I see that the kinder, gentler version of data input has emerged to walk amongst us. I suspect that more helpful responses might now be available to him.

Translates as...
"My Astro-Med MX-8000 Series Data recorder has died and I need to get a replacement, but I am to lazy to do my own research to identify a suitable replacement for it. Do it for me".

I actually did the homework. The Astro_Med MX-8000 series have the whole package in one, it's specialized. You don't have to build your data recorder off of a bunch of software like you have to with Agilent, National Instruments and other vendors... I was just trying to verify if I was on the right path.
