Not too long ago there was an active thread about favorite sci-fi movies of the CR4 community. I haven't seen a good sci-fi movie in a long time, but I do like the classics like Blade Runner and Star Wars.
There's a new sci-fi picture coming out this Friday in select cities by Trainspotting and 28 Days Later director Danny Boyle. I was a huge fan of both Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, which had a kind of scientific basis for the horror story plot.
Wired.com had a Q&A with director Danny Boyle on how he kept the scientific aspects of the film realistic while still creating fantasy. Based on the trailer that is linked in the article it looks really cool and I think I'm going to see it.
