sushantsrivastava2,

You have not given enough information for anybody to answer the question.

Is this a Nuclear Power Plant and the pipe supports are inside the containment building where after start-up there will be no access?

Or are these pipe supports out doors in a common refinery or chemical plant where they will be visible for inspection at all times?

Or are these in an Arctic location where weather is not conducive to casual random inspection?

Sure. Publish the pipe support specification document being worked to.

Pipe supports are usually tested when made. The spec will advise the test procedure.

Remember ultrasound is better at detecting cracks in various orientations, the energy is reflected from any crack - the frequency determines the resolution. Radiation can miss a crack if it is normal to the beam and has width.

Those lynx should help

Do you have an in-house NDT Engineer? If you have a qualified person to do the type of testing you need, they should know the answer to your question. If not, then you need to hire a company who does have that expertise. Your easiest method may be magnetic dye testing, but there may be requirements where you are, that an official inspector may want fulfilled. So whoever is going to be inspecting them would be the first person of whom I would ask that question.
