China Blast Big Time

08/13/2015 11:28 AM

There was an explosion on China, 13 August 201. Probably, another safety issue to learn on.

Promise me you weren't stripping protons and neutrons at the time, Mildred?!

That was my first thought too. One hell of a coincidence one day he's asking about protons and neutrons and the next day there's one hell of explosion? One of those "Who dunit" I think we might know already know the cause and who dunit!

I plead, not guilty your honor. Perhaps Chaos theory did exist and true. A mere murmur on the subject in cr4 effects enormous explosion on some places.

Next, I'll try to murmur the name of "crabtree' and 'Lyn' in the air and would wait for a global event to trigger on the following day. I'm excited that way.

It gets worse, but has a potential silver lining.

The State Council, China's cabinet, said in a statement posted to its website that it would launch a nationwide inspection of dangerous chemicals and explosives, and crack down on illegal activities to strengthen industry safety.

It gets worst? "Xinhua said a team of 217 military nuclear and biochemical specialists, along with a group from the International Atomic Energy Agency's Beijing office, had been dispatched to the area." Sounds like there's more to it than what's being disclosed. Why would IAEA be involved if it was " just a chemical" explosion? Were they playing with some enriched sand in their sand box? I highly doubt we'll ever hear the truth what exploded there.

The only "Silver lining" I can think of is, North Korea didn't get that shipment they were expecting before the "Joint Force's exercises" commenced and going to to wait a few more days for the new shipment.

Gao Huaiyou, deputy director of Tianjin's work safety watchdog, told reporters that there were major discrepancies between the accounts of company managers and customs officials. He said damage to the company's office made it difficult to identify the chemicals involved.

Who really knows what was stored in the port at the time that could have been compromised by the explosion.

Thanks for the link! But it makes you kinda wonder, huh? Bodies vaporized, buildings that looks like the aftermath of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and that's not including, God only knows, what other "chemicals" that were on site. And to "close off" the drains leading out the sea?

Can we really trust what the Chinese Government is reporting let alone the company? Don't know about you, I sure don't. That includes any government controlled media, including mine, (US).

And the survivors of this, what's going to happen to them down the road, 1 month, 1year, 10 years 50 years ...... It's a *ucked up situation to say the least

I must admit, they seem to be getting better, more open and more prone to change than they used to.

In the mean time, we're still waiting to hear what and why caused the explosion and what kind of materials (chemicals) involved.

In the mean time, have a great day and will talk with you little late

Niu Yuegang, deputy director at Tianjin's fire department, confirmed that over 40 different types of chemicals have now been discovered at the blast site, including 700 tonnes of sodium cyanide, 800 tonnes of ammonium nitrate and 500 tonnes of potassium nitrate, according to local reports.

.....

Questions about how the blasts occurred are still being asked, with the state council - the country's highest state administrative body - setting up an investigation team to look into the cause of the explosions.

"Communist party officials have insisted there will be no cover-up ......." I don't they have much choice but to be transparent. I didn't hear about the good stuff, ammonium nitrate and potassium nitrate? With that kind of tonnage, sounds to me like someone is getting ready for a War!.

Hey, you have to store all that dangerous stuff somewhere and it isn't uncommon to store different dangerous chemicals together. You only really hear about it if you are in the industry and have knowledge of storage practices or if something goes badly wrong.

Man, I hate getting interrupted in the middle of trying to post something! Words and sentences get clipped or cut out completely.

Anyhow, your right, unless you work in the industry you don't hear about anything until the $hit hits the fan. But at least with the link to Hazardex I can better stay informed. I was scrolling some of it this morning and it looks like they've had other problems recently too.

Thanks again for the link and a safe day down there Jack!

Dan

Thanks.

Here's some other good reading a little more closer to home.

The recreation videos of the investigated events are quite interesting and informative.

And the results of the investigation, many were implicated (including government officials) and proven to be guilty of fraudulently faking the necessary documents that allowed the storage company to illegally store the chemicals in the first place.
