Press Brake Repair?

07/19/2007 4:36 PM

We have 1987, 6ft DiAcro Press Brake but can't find anybody local(MA)to fix an automatic back gage that continues to creep in slowly.

Anybody have any recommendations?

How fast does it "creep"? A few .001/hour? .010/minute? I don't have any experience with the DiAcro machines, but I've worked with Trumpf and Accurpress. Is it a 2 axis (ram and backgage) or more (2 axes + automatic z-locating "fingers")? If you have an exact model number I can try and look up some details online.

Had a similar fault with a guillotine - had to change the small
micro board to cure it. The manufacturer may be able to send
one by post? If not, a local electronics lab. may be able to
repair it for you.
(a new one is usually the best option as they are not costly)

Ironically, a lot of the backgauges have a built-in "creep" feature
which can be automated for a series of programmed "actions".
Have you tried a complete re-set and checked the programming?

Hope this helps.

Model #4-72/35 Ton

Ser# 6600683804

The problem is the backgage continuously creeps.

We have checked out motor(OK), the servo (OK), encoder (OK).

Thanks for responding. Help!
