luto is very cold! The temperature on Pluto ranges from -387 to -369 Fahrenheit (-233 to -223 Celsius) For comparison, the coldest place on Earth, which can reach -126 Fahrenheit, would seem quite warm compared to Pluto. Many astronomers think that the surface of Pluto is covered with frost.

I wonder what KIND of frost? Many people think of frost as being H2O (water), but at those temperatures, it might even be H2 (hydrogen), CO2 (carbon dioxide), or many other elements or compounds which we think of being liquids or gasses in our nice cozy world.
