Wet Gas Pipeline

09/16/2015 1:27 AM

Good Day,

I hope all of you are in a great health..

I am going to do a presentation about Wet Gas Pipeline...

Where can I find reliable information about wet gas corrosion monitoring and protection ?

As well Is there any book or journal to find study case for wet gas pipeline issues (maintenance, inspection)?

No offence but where have you looked so far?

When searching in the internet you can improve your search results by looking for combined text by putting them in quotation marks.

Like - "corrosion monitoring and protection" pipeline -

You can add wet gas but pipeline protection is what you really be looking for.

Good luck!

PS If the OD is smaller than the ID of your pipe the corrosion system needs to be installed inwards because the flow is on the outside!

Start by asking colleagues - people who have actually done the work.

Even if there were, your best bet, I agree, is to tackle your colleagues, Mildred. You might wait for ever here!

It concerns me that you are going to do a presentation on this but appear to have little or no knowledge of the subject.

Sad for the recipients of your endeavour.

If this is not your line of business you should go with what is available in the internet.

I don't see how you can spice up your presentation with an experience that you do not have.

Borrowing this experience from somebody else was never a good idea.

Just present it so you are comfortable answering all the questions afterwards.

Good luck!

Duh. That's why he is asking the questions.

How about a little patience! How did you learn when you started in whatever field you work in? Did you ask questions? Did you seek out association with someone in that field? Or, did you just learn it all on your own? Probably not. We don't have enough time to learn all we can on our own so one reads, asks questions, researches, gets experience, etc.

John Maxwell says, "if you want the right information, you have to ask the right questions." All conan21 is doing is trying to gain some info so he broadens his understanding and maybe then knows what deeper questions to ask.

http://www.NACE.org One of my co-workers was the president last year. These folks are the go-to people to learn all things about corrosion.

Seems that an important first step would be in defining the material being handled (the components) as well as the material of construction of the piping. There is no one material that can handle all wet materials under all conditions (not stainless steel or even TFEs). Also, there are wide differences in their costs.
