how can set a overload relay for any motor >5h.p

The only valid answer that is inclusive of "any" motor overload, is RTFM, Read The Factory Manual. Some have you factor in a pickup point, others do it for you.

Amplifying your question - how to set (a) when the starter is DOL (b) when it is Star-delta with the relay in the line and (c) when it is star-delta with the relay being within the delta (d) when the relay is as per IEC or NEMA with a 1.15 service factor....

If someone answers, you will have a wealth of (useless) information. Eliminates the need to post on CR4 again and again.

The procedure for setting depends on the relay type. Pls specify which type of relay you are using. Lets say for 3-ph 5hp motor running on 420V ac supply, it takes around 9A current on full load, the relay rating has to be set around 11A for overload taking into 10-15% of normal current.
