About 40 years ago I met a chap who labeled himself a "waste paper collector" I thought he was mad. He however retired long ago.
I donate my paper to a school where they use it for art etc. After the are done with it they sell it to a company producing corrugated card board packing material.
I believe removing the ink / toner is not that easy.

One way of re-using them is making a papier-maché out of them, using a little wallpaper paste as a binder, and casting them into solid briquettes that can be dried in sunshine. The finished briquettes can be used as a solid fuel in a stove during the winter months, reducing the amount of kerosine used in the central heating boiler, and the ashes placed on the garden as a soil improver and fertiliser ready for the spring.
Otherwise, the local council takes them away in their petrol-powered pickup every 2 weeks and eventually they become newsprint. How wasteful!
