Searching for Packaging Supply Engineer to Hire

New Jersey based packaging supply company is looking to hire an in-house salaried packaging engineer to work with in-house buyers, customer service team and our larger national customers to ensure the best quality solutions.

any thoughts on how best to source candidates for this position would be greatly appreciated.

Put want ads in newspapers and trade journals. Avoid newspeak terms such as "solutions".

Contact technical employment specialised agencies in the New Jersey area. Yellow Pages would be a good source of telephone numbers.

In the first paragraph, you spoke in both 3rd and 1st person in regards to the seeking company, so I'm going to assume the latter.

My thoughts on how best to search for candidates is ask your HR person to facilitate. If they don't know how, or are not aware of the various Professional Organizations in your field, then you either need a new HR person, or they need to reach out to a recruiting firm. Or...
