You have to have an iphone or a Raspberry Pi camera with the IR filter removed.

I thought I had replied to this yesterday, but it didn't show up today...

If I get one, you can expect a report soon thereafter.

In a closely related item, just late this afternoon I received my new FLIR-One for IOS, which I ordered a couple of months ago. I downloaded their free software onto my iPhone 5, and also the $2 Thermal Thermometer. It works as expected! The only hitch so far is that I have to remove my rubber iPhone case to attach the Flir-One.

Here's my image taken in a completely dark room:

Tomorrow I'll try examining some high current electric cables and connections, and our vacuum furnaces...

It's already clear that these smartphone attachments are bringing us into the start of a whole new era!
