The procedures should be in the O&M (Operations and Maintenance) Manual for said pump. If you do not have the O&M Manual, contact the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and request one.

...by telephone. It's quicker, and cannot be ignored.

There is no maintenance schedule for a progressive cavity pump as it only has one moving part. There is no maintenance required for either the stator or orger!!

What is the application for the PCP? what are you pumping? Heavy oil, peanut butter, live fish.....

What is the drive configuration? Single motor with drive gearbox and/or drive belts, double motor drive, VSD controlled, type of stuffing box gland for the polished drive rod.

The application will dictate the maintenance, as will all the other above mentioned.

So, to clarify, you have a BDP, for pumping LC, and you need the SMP because for attach with PTW while doing PPM? Is that right?

WOW! That means we must not forget to first notify the NPI to ensure compliance with the EPA so that BHP doesn't get PO'd and FUBAR the WDT?

I am a bit confused.

We have numerous pumps in our bulk fuel plants that appear to be the same as illustrated in your provided picture so it is entirely possibly we might have an Installation & Operations Manual (IOM) on file.

If you want good information on any equipment it is imperative that you include all pertinent information on the equipment such as:

1) Manufacturer name.

2) Equipment (pump) type. (From picture the pump appears to be a "screw" type possibly of the positive displacement type?)

3) Model number.

4) Size. (GPM, HP, Stages,?)

5) Duty cycle. (Intermittent at "x"%, Continuous at 100%, ?)

6) Utilization of equipment in the process. (Transfer of light crude? Solvents? Gasoline?)

So why the heck didn't you post that picture in the original post, Mildred? At least then I'd have some idea of what you're talking about.

Did you ring the manufacturer? I'm not going to do that for you as that might make you lazy, and we don't want that, do we?
