T5 and T6 are tempers of the same grade of Al and have nothing to do with conductivity. It is the degree of hardness and elasticity in a material.

Aluminium and its Alloys used in Electrical Engineering | EEP

BS 159:1957 - Specification. Busbars and busbar connections

This could all have already been known to you by using a search engine.

BS 2898 and BS 159 are publications maintained by the British Standards Institution. They have so many copies that they are selling them just to get rid of them. All one needs to purchase is a telephone and a credit card. They are posted world-wide.

BS2898 was replaced in 2002 by BS-EN755-3→6. Available at the bargain price of £152-00

BS159 is still current, a snip at a mere £108-00

The number <...6063...> is meaningless without some form of context, which is missing from the information disclosed despite the original poster having mentioned it twice, presumably inviting by that action the forum to carry out some crystal ball gazing.

  • Please advise that a copy of BS2898 is now to hand, for reference?
  • Please advise that, rather than having to reinvent the proverbial wheel, the facility has earlier designs for busbar installations that can be cloned anew?

Who said A A 6063?

What are you actually wanting to do?

Giving basic information will help the members of CR4 to help you.

Everything you need is in the link I provided.

You must look closely at the information, and pick out the information you need.

I am not going to puree it and spoon feed it to you.

If you have studied the material on the link, and still cannot understand that your

answer is there, you should seek a new direction with your career.

If you are too lazy to put in the time, then don't expect anyone else to do it for you.

I knew nothing about aluminum tubular bus bars when I first looked at the

information, provided in the link, but in a few minutes,I could answer your questions.

So if you want it,dig for it.

Are <...they...> on the telephone (CR4 does not offer training courses on the use of this equipment, BTW)?

I would consult the conductor properties tables to identify the difference in conductance and impedance factors between the different grades of aluminum.

Generally the harder the aluminum is, the lower the conductance value.

I found the answer in about 30 seconds using google.

Learn to use Google.

I am feeling especially charitable today,so I will give you a link.

I simply typed in,on Google, the following text:

What is Electrical Grade Aluminum for Tubular Bus Bars.

Good luck.

The response I got was http://www.aluminum.org/sites/default/files/Chapter%2013%20Bus%20Conductor%20Design%20and%20Applications.pdf
