Does anyone know a way to fill in or remove scratches from plastic eye glass lenses?

I just watched a TV commercial where they show a product that repairs lenses, appears to be a liquid filling the scratches.

In the US, try Lens Doctor (available at a Wal Mart near you)

To the best of my knowledge you can not effectively repair plastic lenses by polishing as this will change the optical characteristics of the Len's. There are some commercial polymer products that claim to restore to like new condition though. How well they work I cant say as I have not tried any. One that comes to mind though is a product called lens doctor. I last spotted an ad for it about 3 months ago . I did a quick check though and found this right away. You may want to read these before spending anything on it as I understand it can be costly.

Here in the USA, there is a commercial product named LensDoctor that is advertised on national television as capable of repairing scratched plastic lenses. I have no specific contact information for you, but yo should be able to locate them, as they are not exactly low profile.

Even using Lens Doctor may not get a good usable result.

Therefore its probably cheaper to invest the money in new glasses. The coatings on modern glasses are not repairable in this way....

Always have the glasses on, or in a case, never in a pocket or anywhere else..

Use a safety chain to prevent them falling on the floor, only clean them wet, never dry....
