hi...im a student of civil engg;as per my coll curriculum I'm suppose to do research work in this semester. my fields of interest are infrastructure finance, project insurance, real estate, planning of a project....kindly guide me with the area which needs to be explored.

Could you please elaborate.

Would you be interested in setting tariff models for infrastructure projects--Example: Fixing toll charges for highway, waste management fee for various types of solid waste disposal , fixing charges for wastewater treatment etc, insurance for public liability in case of accidents

thank you so much for your reply, may i plz knw ur background.

im interested in infrastructure road projects....im not in touch with the outside industry...dese days im jus reading things ....i really want to knw wat is the need of the industry in todays time.....

i would like to work on any topic which is related to project management or planning or financing...

these days im reading abt a sudden flood of FDI's in india...may be i find a reaserch topic in dat...

plz guide me..!!

Thanks. I am a civil engr with masters in Geotechnical engg and 18 years in infrastructure projects. I am Managing Director of Paradigm Environmental Strategies basically dealing with resource optimisation especially in field of Environment.

hi....

yea i wud be interested in setting up the tarriff models for infrastructure projects...but im mote interested in in the financing and the planning side of a project n may be its optimization.....i want to knw wat is the dire need of the constrcution industry right now.

about the need.. This is true of any business..phasing of investment so as to Maximise the Return on Investment, generate positive cash flow, sensitivity to business risk delays, market, interests etc

I suggest that you chose a topic especially a BOOT project (Road, Bridge, Airport etc) and it will definitely demand that you use your knowledge of Finance, Project planning as they are mutually inclusive. A change in one affects the other.

Project risk insurance to counter- liabilities in case of defects and liquidated damages also has to be factored in the project cost
