Is there software that can analyze digital video (real time) to compare over time differences in images? This would probably be realated to security applications.
Do you want to find out what's called "Frame-Rate", which is the intervals of switching still images in progress, or what's called "Key-Frames" to indicate the periods of continuous-shot lengths?
Please try do describe more fully what you are interested in.
In basic form, it would be useful to compare one frame to the previous, if a change occurs from a reference frame it would be captured and stored and or an alarm of some sort would capture someones attention. This would allow quick analysis of surviellance to screen out non-events. For example a stationary camera is monitoring a certain view and an intruder enters, a door is opened, a vehicle moves, etc, that event would be captured seperately and stored so you wouldn't have endless video to screen.
