CR4 is not a homework help site. It would not be "cool", but instead a disservice to your engineering education, so go back to your Control Systems 101 textbook, clearly you have not looked at it yet.

Here's my answer for you.

What's the list that you've come up with so far?

Give us something to evaluate your understanding of the question.

Okay. Now you get to justify that statement.

Is a slow response what you would expect?

What's the advantage to a slow response?

Would you rather have a fast response?

What are your other "answers" for the original gain compensation question?

How did you come to this conclusion? what reference material did you use?

Looking at same question but don't have textbook stated in post.

That's cool...but you need to formulate your own answer...

AGC - That brings back memories...

We had a small airplane and the noise level was intense.

I played around with headsets and noise cancelling microphones - that helped a lot.

Then I added AGC, but also needed squelch to kill the background when no one was talking. Almost made conversation bearable. Tended to have a small delay before the squelch would release so you tended to start every sentence with "Ummm".

Once you start gaining and it gets compensated, so the gains are not as high, you will not gain enough, maybe, which is a drawback.

Sure there is literature out there that explains this!

Is "gain compensation" bean counter related? Power systems, may be?
