Could anyone share information on, aluminium rolling line energy auditing technique and methodology as I am very interested in the subject especially newer methods to check on energy consumption?

A power meter that displays instantaneous wattage, and with a reset button that enables a cumulative watt-hour display since the last reset, can fix you right up. Nothing especially magic or new about this.

I heard there are a few methods of obtaining energy consumption from a production line but metering is a very economically strenuous process, is there any other efficient process but cost viable such as waste calculation or any other preferred method?

In a more defined scope, i would like to touch on the basis of cost effective energy measurement, such as metering and energy waste calculation in a production line. As i have no real experience on engineering auditing i would like to understand how auditors prepare for a normal engineering audit. Thank you.
