Procedural Format to Track Fixtures?

07/30/2007 4:34 PM

I am writing a procedure to track fixtures in a manufacturing facility. They will be part of a Quality System and some will be traceable to NIST. Does anyone have a format for the instruction set that can be followed for this?

thanks

Why would you have a fixture traced to NIST. I could be wrong but it would seem this is highly impractical. Of course it all depends on the fixturing.

If so it should be captured in ISO documentation. I'll dig around a bit but in the mean time maybe a bit more info.

What is the fixture being used for. Dimensional analysis/Inspection? Manufacturing?
