Internet TV into home TV

08/02/2007 7:33 PM

Have a question:

I know where I can have audio output from a PC. But is there a place to have video out?

My idea is to connect my PC to my home theater TV, and don't know how to do it. any help out there?

Wangito.

You can take the 15-Pin D connector that goes to your monitor and run that to your projector. I have done that successfully. You can buy the cables at Best Buy or a local electronics store. Just tell them what you want to do and have the make/model of your projector handy. Better yet, take the projector's user manual with you.

Thanks for reply,

Will that monitor out work on regular home TV video input?

I have never seen a "D" type to RCA type cable. (the TV input is RCA one pin connector).

I think you will need a TV card in your computer...

I have one and its very comprhensive, you can select inputs as s-VHS, VHS composite and aerial... outputs can be via a SCART connector which is just composite video plus sound etc...

TV cards on ebay for less than £12, they also do NTSC ones as well as PAL etc...

You can do one of three things: Get a graphic card with in-built TV output, install a TV card, or use your existing graphic card in conjunction with a signal converot box.

If you don't have a newer TV, you may have toi also buy a RF modulator. You can pick one up at Radio Shack for about $20.
