Now that I look at it closer - YOUR RIGHT - it is Italy. Look to the right and you see another arm coming down. If it was Florida then it would go straight up the coast. The only thing that is out farther from the east coast is the Bermuda Triangle.

One cannot see most national borders from space. So it doesn't really matter. From that distance, call it "home".
