The 'Professional' response is 'say nothing without charging'..and we all know what the oldest profession is.

I remember school masters exhorting us to 'grow up'.....

By all means grow 'up' but to lose the excitement curiosity and humour of child hood is just sad...many of us will have suffered grief and sadness on our journey through life...humour is a welcome emotional release.

Yes this is free consulting, but I view this as a two way street. Sometimes I gives and some times I asks. Again, if I don't want to answer a question, I don't need to respond.

This is not a perfect site, but it is sometimes amusing and usually educational. Just beware of the traces of nut that sometimes show up.

And be careful with using any answers you find. Remember you get what you pay for. Trust but verify independently.

I do agree that some form of a competency test should be give to a great number of these 3rd and 4th year students. It could start out "What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?"

We ASS u ME many questions are from people starting new jobs or just working on something new to them and they are asking for general help to get their mind around the problem. Some are looking for a little assistance from us who are killing time on the computer.

But then I was burnt out 8 years ago after 6 years of 14 and 16 hours days 7 days a week. I am only beginning to get ther numbness out of my mind.

Thank God it's free. I wouldn't want to owe money for this experience!

but, all that info stuff i read from your comments on different topics... its so plausible that ... and if some of it is marginal .. oh my god! What have I done? I've used that info to learn from!!!!

In that respect you will be paying for it. You might consider a first aid kit too.
